Foxy's Run

Note: This game is currently a Work In Progress (WIP).

A fox, a forest, a floppy. Foxy's Run is a side-scrolling platformer for the Amiga featuring a PAL 320×256 resolution and sixteen colours. It requires 1 MB of chip RAM or a stock A1200. Simply boot the disk and press fire to begin.

The game features five maps, various enemies (walkers, hoppers, and flyers), a winter-themed second half, and a final boss. Cherries serve as your ammo, and you must collect gems to open the exit. You start with three lives.

• Walk, jump, duck, climb, and drop through one-way platforms onto ladders
• Ride moving platforms
• Spit cherries at enemies and collect gems to open the exit
• Encounter walking, flying, and hopping enemies, featuring winter skins in later levels
• Enjoy a hardware-sprite HUD, ProTracker music, and Paula sound effects

System Requirements

• Amiga or Winuae/FS-UAE etc
• 1 MB of chip RAM, or a stock A1200
• Ships as an 880 KB ADF

Controls

• Joystick — move left or right; push up to jump or climb; pull down to duck
• Fire — spit cherries
• Arrows / WASD — move
• Space / Up / W — jump (Space also drops you from a ladder)
• Down / S — duck, or drop through one-way platforms
• Ctrl / Z — spit cherries
• Esc on the title screen — quit the game

Emulator

We recommend using WinUAE (or Amiga Forever) with a Kickstart ROM you already own. Set the configuration to 1 MB of chip RAM or use the stock A1200 quick start, which is the recommended way to run it. Please note that the Kickstart ROM is not included in the download.
